Entry Requirements
- (1)Applicants must be above the age of 18 before the starting date of the program and under the age of 40. Students under 18 even by the starting date cannot apply.
- (2)Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, be in good health, abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese Government and local government, as well as regulations of SWUFE, without any record of violation of laws and disciplines.
- (3)Applicants must have a bachelor's degree.
- (4)Language Requirement: A.Applicants should pass an English-speaking interview. With a minimum overall band of 6.0 in IELTS, or a minimum score of 80 in TOFEL, the interview can be exempted. B.Applicants whose native language is English, or who can provide proofs of studying in a degree program taught in English for 2 years or more, do not need to provide the language certificate.

Program Description
1.Brief Introduction
Pre-Master's preparation program of International Business (EN) is an experimental program of majors taught in English. The program is established for international students, with the internationalization of constructing teaching materials and curriculum resources. It aims to cultivate talents of international business, and provides international students who plan to enroll Master's program of International Business with 20-weeks preparatory training courses.
In order to help international students adapt to study and life in China, the Pre-Master's preparation program focuses on language knowledge and skills. It aims to not only improve the ability of academic English and general Chinese for daily activities in China, but also expand the scope of knowledge and international vision, and develop their independent thinking and learning. The preparation program will lay the foundation for Master's program of International Business, including the basics of language, mathematics, specialized knowledge, etc.
With the accomplishment of preparatory study, international students who perform well at SWUFE and reach the graduation requirements of Pre-Master's preparation program can be enrolled in Master of International Business in September, 2020. The enrollment status of Master's program will be started since September, 2020.
2.Curriculum
(1) Pre-Master's Program Curriculum (20 weeks)
A.Chinese Course (8 class hours /week): General Chinese for daily life + Basic Business Chinese Students graduated from Pre-Master's preparation program will be able to speak simple Chinese in daily life.
B.English Course (8 class hours/week):Academic English Training + Specialized terms used in International Business
C.Mathematics (4 class hours/week): Advanced Math+Major-based Math
D.Lectures of Chinese Culture or International Business (2 class hours/biweekly)
(2) Master's Curriculum (2 years)
Master's program of International Business (EN) includes specialized core courses and specialized elective courses. Every year the curriculum is subject to minor change. Main specialized core courses are listed as below:

The dissertation proposals should be submitted at least 8 months before the dissertation defenses. Students can get 2 credits when they accomplish literature review, dissertation proposal and pass proposal defense, and get 4 credits when accomplish the dissertation and pass dissertation defense. The criteria and requirements refers to The Detailed Rules and Arrangement of Dissertation Proposal, Evaluation and Defense for Master's Program of School of International Business, and the form and format refer to The Basic Requirements of Dissertation Form and Format for Master's program in SWUFE.
(4) Registration
(1)Fall semester in 2019
Registration: December 2nd, 2019 - December 13th, 2019
Courses: December 16th, 2019 - January 10th, 2020 (4 weeks)(2)Spring semester in 2020
Registration: March 2nd, 2020 - March 6th, 2020
Courses and final exams: March 9th, 2020 - July 3rd, 2020 (“16+1” weeks)
Please refer to exact Registration Date that will be stated in Admission Letter. Please register on time. For those who do not register on time, SWUFE reserves the right to withdraw the admission offer any time.(5)Basic requirements for completion of Pre-Master's preparation program
(1)The minimum attendance rate of classes: 90%.
(2)Students have good performance and right attitude at study in SWUFE, with a minimum average scores of 70 and no failure in examination.
(3)Students cannot violate any law and regulation.Note: The accommodation fee is 800/month for single room. But the amount of rooms is limited, if you can not live on campus, the teacher will guide you to rent apartments off campus.

Certificate of your family financial situation background. You need to go to the bank to issue a deposit of your family financial situation.
*3. First page of your passport
The passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the expected date of exit from the country.
*4. Passport photo
One passport photo taken within 6 months.
*5. Academic Transcripts of Bachelor degree
Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.

The referee should be professor or associate professor or person with relevant academic title.

Other optional documents that could present applicants’ academic and comprehensive ability, for example, award certificate, published paper, etc.
*10. Physical Examination Form(only valid for 6 months)
