Entry Requirements
(1) Age limit:
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must be above the age of 18 before the starting date of the program and under the age of 45.
(2) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, be in good health, abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese Government and local government, as well as regulations of SWUFE.
(3) Education background:
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master's degree
(4)Minimum Language Requirements
For PHD degree applicants: IELTS 6.5; or TOEFL 95;
In some certain special circumstances such as pandemic, you can also join the online language test organized by the university.

*1. One passport photo taken within 6 months

The passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the expected date of exit from the country.
*3. Academic Transcripts of Master degree
Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
*4. Certificate of Master degree
Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
If the student has not obtained degree yet, the student should provide original official letter that states this student will obtain the degree before August 31st of current year. This letter should be issued by the student’s current school.*5. English proficiency test certificate

The referee should be professor or associate professor or person with relevant academic title.
7. Other materials
Other optional documents that could present applicants’ academic and comprehensive ability, for example, award certificate, published paper, etc.
*8. Bank Statement
Certificate of your family financial situation background. You need to go to the bank to issue a deposit of your family financial situation.
9. Applicants who are in China currently should also provide the copy of the page of his/her current visa or resident permit.

*10. Physical Examination Form(only valid for 6 months)
Please take it to hospital to have a checkup with all items, including personal information, photo, checking date, doctors' suggestion and signature.
